Hatred — the most destructive force known to man, which ignites the black fire, depositing corresponding sediments in the human body. It is as magnetic as love, only the fires it draws from space to man are wholly black.

Any form of hatred is a dangerous black flash capable of inflaming a dark fire. For example, self-loathing is destructive. It is virtually impossible to notice how the black fire of hatred spreads from self-haters to people around them. Often some clergymen urge their parishioners to detest sin, considering this as “service to the light.” But, in fact, it is actually service to the darkness, for when each cell of the body is filled with black poison, it infects not only the hater but the whole world. And so the haters bring themselves closer to falling prey to some kind of illness. Further, religious ignorance urges churchgoers to hate Satan — the Fallen Angel Lucifer. However, this spirit came to the Earth as an act of self-sacrifice, leaving his beautiful world to help humanity. He was unable to withstand the test, perhaps being infected with pride by Earth-dwellers. After all, he could not possibly have led humanity to spiritual doom if people and their collective will had not given their consent. And now, in sending him thoughts of hatred, people darken their own souls most of all. Therefore, it is far wiser to treat him with compassion.

Even though on the Earth one can utterly avoid meeting with the object of one’s hatred, in the Subtle World hatred will draw the hater to the very individual whom they hate and will hold them in proximity until the energy of hatred completely exhausts itself. It is extremely hard and painful to release one’s self from the accumulations of black fires there, because in the Subtle World all human desires and aspirations are intensified a hundredfold. Moreover, if a person does not rid themselves of hatred of another here, then in their next life they will definitely meet each other again, and may even be incarnated into the same family. Karma claims its own, and so only through overcoming one’s self in other people is it possible to free one’s self from them. The karmic ties of either hatred or love are stronger by far than any other emotion.

Hence forgiving one’s enemies, along with Love and Compassion towards all creation, has a purely practical significance, for dark feelings can turn into fetters, not only in this world but also in the Higher Realm.
